Doggy Day Trip Program 

Take a Shelter Dog on an adventure with our Doggy Day Trip program!

 

Give a shelter dog a much-needed break with a walk, hike, or car ride!  As a result of a Doggy Day Trip, our dogs are less anxious or exuberant when they meet potential adopters. They also gain useful life skills that they wouldn’t get from just sitting and waiting in the shelter.

To get started, simply fill out an application and bring it to us in person or email it to volunteering@hswa.org. Once approved, you’ll be ready to take a dog out for a fun and refreshing outing!
